Our Mission
At Perpetual Donations, our mission is to empower donors to create lasting, sustainable impact by enabling them to 'invest' in the future of charities. Through our platform, we provide a way for donors to contribute to a virtual investment fund that supports their chosen charities with recurring, perpetual, donations. We believe in fostering long-term, meaningful change by transforming the way charity funding is approached, ensuring a continuous flow of resources for causes that matter.
Your donations are combined with others and invested in a Global Index Fund. Each month, half of the returns are distributed to the charities you select.* The remaining half stays in the Fund, helping it grow and increasing the monthly distributions over time.
*Our algorithm determines the optimal amount to distribute, ensuring that charities receive a consistent payment each month, regardless of global market fluctuations. This provides them with a reliable, stable income. The distribution is typically around half of the average monthly returns.
An example
In 2012, Max donated $1,000 to the Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) and purchased approximately 200 malaria-treated bednets. This is great! Now imagine that Max had, instead, donated the $1,000 to AMF via Perpetual Donations. In the first year, he would have only donated $82.26 to AMF. However, after 11 years his donation would have generated $1,006, surpassing the original donation. After 20 years his donation would have generated $2,093 - twice as much as the original. And, after 150 years, Max would have generated donations of $1,501,622 to AMF - 1500 times larger than his initial donation. These forecasts are based on a single donation, rather than repeat donations, which is encouraged.

It takes roughly 11 years for the full amount of your donation to be paid out to a charity. After that it continues to pay out monthly, perpetually. A small but continuous monthly donation greatly impacts your future impact too.
Getting Started
Creating an account is easy—simply visit our 'My Account' page, fill out the form, and check your email for a personalized sign-in link. Once you're logged in, you'll be able to choose the charities you'd like to support and decide how much you'd like to contribute to each one. Want to change which charities are receiving your donations? Just head to your portal to manage your donations. Unlike a one-time donation, you can update your choice of charities at any time
Our Part
Your donations are pooled and invested in the Index Fund, which tracks global markets. Over the past 10 years (2012–2022), the fund has returned over 12% annually. The fund is managed by a London-based asset manager, specializing in charity-focused investments. It is the COIF Charities Global Equity Fund.
Each month, our algorithm calculates the optimal amount to donate to your selected charities. The algorithm is designed to stabilize these donations, so your charities receive a consistent amount each month, regardless of market fluctuations. Typically, this is around 0.5% of your account balance and will grow over time.
